Self-consistent velocity dependent effective interactions.
The theory of self-consistent effective interactions in nuclei is extended for a system with a velocity dependent mean potential. By means of the field coupling method, we present a general prescription to derive effective interactions which are consistent with the mean potential. For a deformed system with the conventional pairing field, the velocity dependent effective interactions are derive...
متن کاملOptically Thin Hydrogen Plasma with Self-Consistent Electron Velocity Distribution
couplings in radical I could not be determined exactly, it is possible to conclude that they do not differ for more than 4 gauss. Using 5 ^ 5 0 gauss and assuming that the angle H(i)C(6)H(5) remains approximately the same as in the undamaged molecule ( 1 0 8 ° ) , one finds that the angles <Pt and c o r " responding to the C(6) — H(d and C(6) — H(9) bonds, respectively, do not differ by more th...
متن کاملSelf-consistent improvement of the finite-temperature effective potential.
We present a self-consistent calculation of the finite temperature effective potential for λφ 4 theory, using the composite operator effective potential in which an infinite series of the leading diagrams is summed up. Our calculation establishes the proper form of the leading correction to the perturbative one-loop effective potential.
متن کاملSpin-dependent effective interactions for halo nuclei
We discuss the spin dependence of the effective two-body interactions appropriate for three-body computations. The only reasonable choice seems to be the fine and hyperfine interactions known for atomic electrons interacting with the nucleus. One exception is the nucleon-nucleon interaction imposing a different type of symmetry. We use the two-neutron halo nucleus Li as an illustration. We demo...
متن کاملMagnetic field generation from self-consistent collective neutrino-plasma interactions
A Lagrangian formalism for self-consistent collective neutrino-plasma interactions is presented in which each neutrino species is described as a classical ideal fluid. The neutrino-plasma fluid equations are derived from a covariant relativistic variational principle in which finite-temperature effects are retained. This formalism is then used to investigate the generation of magnetic fields an...
